School Announcements



Sectional Boys Division III Golf tournament will be held Thursday, September 25th at Sycamore Springs Golf Course at 9am.


College Visits            
Representatives from the following universities will be visiting McComb High School during homeroom. Any interested student should sign up outside Mrs. Day’s office.
Adrian College - Sep 24
Bluffton University- September 29
Owens Community College- September 30
Miami University- October 10th
Tiffin - Oct. 23
University of Findlay- October 30

There is a sign-up sheet outside of Miss Myers’ room (beside the girls restroom) for anyone interested in being in Teen Institute.  A group that promotes a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.  Our first meeting will be September 24th.

A representative will be visiting McComb High School on Wednesday October 8th during homeroom to speak about apprenticeship opportunities with Vaughn Industries. Students interested in an apprenticeship after high school should sign up outside Mrs. Day’s office.

ASVAB testing:            
The ASVAB is being offered at Millstream Career and Technical Center on Tuesday September 30th at 7:30 AM. Any student who is interested in possibly enlisting in the military after high school should consider taking this test. The deadline to register is Friday September 26th. 

VOD Contest 
The VFW is sponsoring the Voice of Democracy essay contest. Any student in grades 9-12 are eligible to apply. The theme for this year is “Why Veterans are Important to our Nation’s History and Future.” Any applications are due by October 24th. See Mrs. Day for more information.                       


Any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball this coming year there is a sign up sheet in the high school office. Stop by and sign up today.

Oct 17th   at 6:30pm we will be honoring our JH cheerleading, JH volleyball, JH cross country and JH football programs before the high school football game. Student athletes that participate in any of these sports need to report to the concession stand end zone at 6:20pm.  Students that participate in these JH sports will be able to get into the game for free this night as well. If you have any questions please contact either the coach of the sport or the athletic department.
