Research has shown that starting the day with a nutritious breakfast helps students stay alert and perform better in school.  Our school participates in the School Breakfast Program.   Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the McComb Cafeteria.   Stop in and see us to get your day off to a good start.

Shoot-For-A-Cure is set for February 21st.  Get your t-shirt order form for HERE.  Forms are due February 6th. All money raised will be donated to the Hancock County Relay for Life.

The Sophomore Class of 2017 still has Subway Punch cards for $10.  It is a Buy one 6" sub and a 21 oz. drink, get a 6" sub of equal or lessor value for FREE!  There are 20 punches for 20 free subs!  Good at Subway inside the Great Scot in McComb and the Subway at the Pilot at I-75/SR 613.  HS SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

There are sign up sheets in the high school office for baseball and softball for any boys or girls interested in playing this spring. Stop by the office and sign up if interested in playing.

Freshman boys basketball will be playing Wednesday, February 4th at 5pm here at McComb High School vs Miller City.

Girls Basketball will be making up their game with Fort Jennings Saturday, February 14th at noon here at McComb High School.

 HS STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Attention Seniors:
All order forms for Senior t-shirts and sweatshirts are due to Hailey Buck by this Friday, January 30. If you plan on using your extra profits from the Homecoming Dinner, please indicate that on your form.

Juniors:
Any Junior who has not received Chicken Dinner Tickets please see Mrs. Palmer.  Money can be turned in to Mrs. Palmer during HR anytime. Final deadline will be Friday Feb. 20th. More tickets are available if needed. Please see Emily Grubb or Mrs. Palmer for more.  Help make the 2015 Prom & After Prom a great success.

15-16 Cheerleading
There is a sign-up sheet in the high school office for students interested in trying out for cheerleading for the 2015-2016 school year. This is for students in grade 8th through 11th. Schedules of clinic times are also in the office. Students need to sign-up by February 20th

Attention Seniors:
The scholarship list has been recently updated. The scholarship list is posted on the website. On the counseling page, click on Academic Resources. Copies of the scholarship list can also be found outside Mrs. Day’s office.

Attention Junior Girls
Buckeye Girls State is an opportunity for junior girls to learn more about how the government works. Buckeye Girls State will take place at the University of Mount Union from June 14th through the 20th. Interested students should pick up an application from Mrs. Day. Applications for Buckeye Girls State is due by January 30th.

Attention Seniors:
College Goal Sunday is an opportunity for students and their families to speak with college representatives and other professionals about help with the FAFSA and other questions related to the college admissions process. This year, College Goal Sunday is February 8th, 2015 at Owens Community College Toledo Campus. See Mrs. Day for questions.

Seniors and parents:
Mrs. Day has set up a Remind account that will send text messages directly to your phone reminding you of new scholarships added to the scholarship list and upcoming deadlines. If you would like to receive these updates, text @0e00d to 419-386-0157.

College Visits            
Representatives from the following universities will be visiting McComb High School during homeroom. Any interested student should sign up outside Mrs. Day’s office.

 JH ANNOUNCEMENTS     

JH Boy’s basketball Wednesday, Jan 28th vs Leipsic St. Mary has been cancelled as Leipsic St. Mary have no team this year.

JHGBK game at Vanlue Feb 2nd has been moved to McComb  Feb 2nd with a start time of 5pm. After the girls game the jh boys will play their game as scheduled on Feb 2nd. Adjust your calendars accordingly.

JH GBK vs St. Peter & Paul will be made up at SPPS Tuesday, February 10th   at 5pm. This will be an 8th grade girls game only as SPPS doesn’t not have a 7th grade team.

Homework Help
Don't forget - There is homework help on Monday and Wednesday after school till 3:45 in Mrs. Orr's room.  Please plan on staying if you need the help . 

ELEMENTARY ANNOUNCEMENTS

McComb Panther Rising Stars Basketball Camp

This basketball camp is for any 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade boy interested in learning about the game of basketball . It is a free clinic and will be ran Feb 7th, 14th, and 21st  in the  high school gym. All forms need to be turned back into the elementary office by Feb 4th. Click HERE for a form.

McComb Panther Youth Wrestling Club will be starting this coming Wednesday, January 28th from 5:30pm-7pm. This is open to all students in grades 1st thru 6th. Parent meeting will be in room 121 this Wednesday at 5:30pm as well . If you have any questions please contact Mr. Jim Pierce  at 419-575-9745. Hope to see all of you there.
