Make Up Days

June 1, June 2, June 3

Lunch charges WILL NOT be allowed after Friday May 8th.  Any outstanding charges need to be paid immediately.

Research has shown that starting the day with a nutritious breakfast helps students stay alert and perform better in school.  Our school participates in the School Breakfast Program.   Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the McComb Cafeteria.   Stop in and see us to get your day off to a good start.

All Sports Physicals for 2015-2016

The McComb Athletic Department will be holding sports physicals on Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 from 1:30pm-3:30pm for any 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grader at the elementary, middle and high schools who are interested in participating in a sport. The cost will be $10.00. No checks please, cash only. You must have your physical sheets filled out and with you the time of the physical. You can find the physical forms at the high school office, middle school office and elementary office and also online on our website by clicking HERE. All physicals will be held at the high school in the cafeteria.

The following schedule will be used for physicals.

1:30pm-1:50pm 6th graders going into 7th grade
1:50pm-2:10pm 7th graders going into 8th grade
2:10pm-2:30pm 8th graders going into 9th grade
2:30pm -2:50pm 9th graders going into 10th grade
2:50pm-3:10pm 10th graders going into 11th grade
3:10pm-3:30pm 11th graders going into 12th grade

SummerRead program offered at the Hancock County Library is entitled "Every Hero has a Story" and it runs from June 1-July 25. See attached flier for more information.

McComb Public Library
Start your summer out right by participating in the "EVERY HERO HAS A STORY" Summer reading program at
McComb Public Library. 
June 4, 2015  10:30 am -12 pm (K-5th) "Draw to be an artist" with visitor Jeff Nicholas, an Educational Artist.
Grades K-5 program dates are as follows: June 4, 11,18, (no program on the 25th due to community swim lessons) July 2, & 9,  Finale  July 14.
Programs for 3-5 year olds are as follows: June 9, 16, (no program 23 due to community swim lessons) 30, & July 7, Finale 14th. All programs run from 10:30- 12noon. Pack a lunch, bring a beach towel.  Remy & Friends will be providing our entertainment for the finale.  Hope to see you at the McComb Public Library.

 HS SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS


 

HS girls and boys track practice will be from 4-5pm


Senior Night for Softball will be Wednesday, May 6th before the game.


Senior night for Baseball
will be Friday, May 8
th before the game.


JV Softball will play at Toledo Woodward on May 11th at 5:00 pm.

 

JV Softball Saturday, May 9th at Otesego has been moved to McComb and will be played after the varsity game.

Softball will be starting sectional play at North Baltimore Monday, May 11th at 5pm. Cost for adults are $6 and students  grades(K-12) are $4 each. Tickets can be purchased at the gate the day of the game. Come on out and support  the lady panthers in their quest for a sectional championship.

 

Baseball will be starting sectional play Wednesday between either the winner of Ada or Hardin Northern High School on Wednesday May 13th at 5pm at McComb Park. Cost for adults are $6 and students  grades(K-12) are $4 each. Tickets can be purchased at the gate the day of the game. Come on out and support  the panthers in their quest for a sectional championship.


There will be an informational meeting for any high school girl or boy interested in participating in Cross Country May 13th at 11:30am in the gym.


Varsity baseball will be making up their games with Arlington Friday May 15th at 5pm at Arlington.


JV softball will be play Liberty Benton Saturday May 16th at home with a 10am start time  and it will be a double header.

Varsity Baseball  makeup game with Patrick Henry will be Monday May 18th at 5pm at Patrick Henry.

 

JV Baseball will be making up their game with Arlington Tuesday, May 19th at home at 5pm.

Relay for Life
The High School Relay for Life will be the week of May 11th.  We will have a movie on the morning of May 12th and a Carnival in the afternoon on May 15th.  We have a lot of fun raising money for the American Cancer Society and with the Middle School, we have raised over $10,000 in the last 5 years! Thank you McComb for supporting such a great cause!

Attention Seniors:
The scholarship list has been recently updated. The scholarship list is posted on the website. On the counseling page, click on Academic Resources. Copies of the scholarship list can also be found outside Mrs. Day’s office.

Seniors and parents:

Monday & Tuesday: Ribbon Sales- For $1 students can purchase a ribbon in honor/memory of someone who has fought cancer.

Wednesday:  Hat Day, for a $1 donation student can wear a hat while at school.

Thursday:  Pennies from Heaven-PK-2 students will be trying to fill as many milk jugs with pennies as possible.

Stall Day-3-6 students will be bringing in as much change as possible to “stall” class for the day. The teacher must count all of the change brought in before he/she can start class.

Friday:  Movie Day-For a donation of any amount, students can watch a movie. Snacks will be available for purchase for $.25 each.

*If the Elementary raises $500 for Relay for Life, Mr. Davis will take pie to the face!*
