School Announcements

 We've been asked about the work going on near the Lanker house/property. This work is being done beyond the border of the school owned, previously Lanker, property.  The work is NOT being done by the school. Thanks to those who have asked and for giving us the opportunity to share correct information. Please feel free to share via social media, verbally, etc.  And, as always, give us a call if you have any questions. If you are wondering, it is very likely others are, too! 

The school is collecting gently used coats for the "Coats for Christmas" project.  Coat donations accepted until December 5th, and you can bring them with you during conferences next week or any day we are open before the deadline.  Distribution of coats for those in need will be Saturday, December 13, from 9-3, and Sunday, December 14 from 1-3 at Glenwood Middle School in Findlay. 

The Sophomore Class of 2017 are currently selling Subway Punch cards for $10.  It is a Buy one 6" sub and a 21 oz. drink, get a 6" sub of equal or lessor value for FREE!  There are 20 punches for 20 free subs!  These would make great Christmas gifts for the entire family.  Good at Subway inside the Great Scot in McComb and the Subway at the Pilot at I-75/SR 613. See any sophomore or call/stop by the school to purchase yours TODAY!


HS SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Presale Boys basketball tickets for the Dec 5th game vs Ayersville will be on sale in the high school office from  8am-3pm Dec 1st to Dec 4th.  Dec 5th tickets will be on sale from 8am to 12 (noon). Cost of the tickets are $5 for Adults and $3 for Students. All tickets at the door are $6. Hurry and get your tickets today.

Attention Seniors:
The scholarship list has been recently updated. The scholarship list is posted on the website. On the counseling page, click on Academic Resources. Copies of the scholarship list can also be found outside Mrs. Day’s office.

Sophomores
If you have money from the Subway cards, please get that turned in ASAP.  We need to get the bill paid.  Continue selling during Thanksgiving break by asking relatives to buy a card when you see them.  Remember, it makes a great Christmas gift too!

College Visits            
Representatives from the following universities will be visiting McComb High School during homeroom. Any interested student should sign up outside Mrs. Day’s office.

First Positive Panther Trip
The First Positive Panther Trip will be to the Bluffton Movie Theater on Wed. December 3rd in the afternoon to see Big Hero 6.  A list of who is going will be posted in the hallway before you leave for Thanksgiving Break.  Please remember that all fines and fees must be paid and you may not have any disciplinary actions to qualify for this trip.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Kern.                                         

Homework Help
Don't forget - There is homework help on Monday and Wednesday after school till 3:45 in Mrs. Orr's room.  Please plan on staying if you need the help .
