ELIGIBILITY POLICY CHANGE LETTER

The Sophomore Class of 2017 are currently selling Subway Punch cards for $10.  It is a Buy one 6" sub and a 21 oz. drink, get a 6" sub of equal or lessor value for FREE!  There are 20 punches for 20 free subs!  These would make great Christmas gifts for the entire family.  Good at Subway inside the Great Scot in McComb and the Subway at the Pilot at I-75/SR 613. See any sophomore or call/stop by the school to purchase yours TODAY!

Football playoff  t-shirt order forms are in the high school office and can also be found by clicking HERE. If interested please stop by the office or print one off the web site. Order forms need to be turned back in no later than Friday, Oct 31st by 1pm  to the high school office or Mr. Woolf to get your shirt by next week.

HS SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Regional Volleyball
Volleyball will be playing Saturday, Nov 1st at 2pm at Elida High School vs Monroeville. Come on out and support the lady panthers in their quest for a regional championship. Pre Sale tickets for the regional volleyball game will be sold in the high school office. Cost for students and adults are $6. At the gate they are $8. Tickets will be sold Thursday, Oct 30th from 8am-3pm and Friday Oct 31st till noon. Hurry and get your tickets today.  Parking at Elida high school for the regional volleyball tournament game is $2 per car.

Girl's Basketball
Basketball practice begins for girls basketball on Monday, November 3rd from 3-5 pm.

Senior night will be Oct 31st  6:20pm for those seniors that participate in fall sports (cross country, football, golf, cheerleading and band).  If all senior parents along with the seniors could meet at the north end zone by the concession stand by 6:15pm this Friday to get organized for the ceremony at 6:20pm it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Please turn in your senior recognition sheet to Mr. Woolf or the high school office by next Wednesday, October 29th.  Senior parents of those seniors being honored in band, cheerleading, golf, cross country and football will be able to get into the game free this Friday, Oct 31st.

Reminder any high school boys basketball players need to turn in order forms and money to Mr Latta or Mr Woolf by this Friday Oct 31st.

HS STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

There is a sign up sheet in the high school office to ride the spirit bus for any student or community member interested in going to the volleyball regional championship game this Saturday Nov 1st  at Elida High School. We need to have a minimum of 20 people signed up for the spirit bus to go. If bus goes it will leave from McComb High School at 12:30pm. There will be an announcement and text sent out if the bus will be going this Friday by 2pm.

Attention Seniors:            
The scholarship list has been recently updated. The scholarship list is posted on the website. On the counseling page, click on Academic Resources. Copies of the scholarship list can also be found outside Mrs. Day’s office.

Red Ribbon Week            
Please dress up for Red Ribbon week and show your classmates you are drug and alcohol free!
 
Stay in the game
Friday- McComb apparel

Any parent/guardian of a 7th thru 12th grade student is considered a member of the 7-12 Academic Booster organization.  We are accepting applications for being part of the executive committee.  The application process is informal – simply e-mail Jeremy Herr (herrj@mb.noacsc.org) or submit in writing your interest to be considered for one of the officer positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer.  The deadline for accepting applications is Monday, November 3rd.  Our next meeting is Thursday, November 13th at 6:00 p.m. in room #144.  Any parents attending the meeting should enter the school building through door #4.

College Visits            
Representatives from the following universities will be visiting McComb High School during homeroom. Any interested student should sign up outside Mrs. Day’s office.

Defiance College - November 11th

Apprenticeship             
A representative will be visiting McComb High School on Tuesday November 4th during homeroom to speak about apprenticeship opportunities with Vaughn Industries. Students interested in an apprenticeship after high school should sign up outside Mrs. Day’s office.

Homework Help
Don't forget - There is homework help on Monday and Wednesday after school till 3:45 in Mrs. Orr's room.  Please plan on staying if you need the help . 

Reminder JH football players that equipment turn and pizza party will be this Friday, Oct 31st after school.

JH Volleyball players:
Saturday, November 1st at 6:00 pm is “Pack the Stands with 1000 Fans” night at the U of F Volleyball game.  Dress in McComb attire and get in for FREE!

Any 7th or 8th grade boy interested in boys basketball this year there will be an open gym   Monday Nov 3rd from 7-8:30pm and  Wednesday Nov 5th from 7-8:30pm. Practices will start Nov 10th.  Hope to see you there.

ELEMENTARY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Remember that October’s Box Tops contest is for a trip to Golden Corral with Mr. Davis and Mrs. Simons.  Ten lucky students will be going on the trip.  Names are drawn weekly with the last drawing on October 31st.  Five Kindergarten/Preschool names will be drawn to win Golden Corral gift cards. Keep turning in those Box Tops!  Extra turn-in sheets are available outside Mrs. Simons’s room (#262).
