School Announcements 

Attention Parents and Students:  Big Dave Crosser (McComb graduate) from WKXA is broadcasting live in McComb this Monday May 2nd.   Great Scot in McComb will match purchases made on this day up to $1000.00 and donate it back to the Athletic Department's Weight Room Fund.  Great Scot will also hold a 90 second shopping spree at the end of the month.  All athletes at McComb School will be selling tickets for the following drawings: 1st prize is 90 second shopping spree at Great Scot, 2nd prize is a family sports pass for 2016-17 season,  and 3rd prize is a choice of a high school sports jersey. Tickets will be $5.00 for this event.  Thanks for supporting your local Great Scot and athletes at McComb.

The McComb Sports Teams are hosting a Pancake Breakfast Sunday May 22nd from Noon to 2pm in the high school cafeteria.  This will be a good will offering . Come on out and enjoy a day of food and fellowship

All Sports Physicals 2016-2017
The McComb Athletic Department will be holding sports physicals on Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 from 1:30pm-3:30pm for any 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grader at the elementary, middle and high schools who are interested in participating in a sport. The cost will be $10.00. No checks please, cash only. You must have your physical sheets filled out and with you the time of the physical. You can find the physical forms at the high school office, middle school office and elementary office. All physicals will be held at the high school in the cafeteria.

The following schedule will be used for physicals.
1:30pm-1:50pm 6th graders going into 7th grade
1:50pm-2:10pm 7th graders going into 8th grade
2:10pm-2:30pm 8th graders going into 9th grade
2:30pm -2:50 9th graders going into 10th grade
2:50pm-3:10pm 10th graders going into 11th grade
3:10pm-3:30pm 11th  graders going into 12th grade

Campbell’s Labels for Education: LAST CALL  After 42 years, Campbell’s Labels for Education Program will be coming to an end at the end of this school year.  The participating products list will remain the same during this time.  Please continue to bring in any Campbell’s Labels you have and turn them into the Elementary Office.

  • JV Baseball Tuesday May 3rd vs Arlington has been cancelled.
  • Make up games with Patrick Henry Saturday May 14th at 11am at McComb Park. This will be a double header.
  • JV Baseball will be playing at Arlington May 16th at 5pm


  • Varsity Softball will be making their game up with Kalida Saturday April 30th at 11am. This will be a DH. Varsity will play at 11am and then JV softball will play after. 
  • JV Softball will be playing at home vs Arlington May 16th at 5pm

Track Invite at Van Buren has been rescheduled for May 3rd at 4:30pm.

High School Boys and Girls Track has added a meet and it will Tuesday May 10th at 4:30pm at Eastwood High School.  


Relay for Life:  The tickets for Senior Survivor activities will be on sale this week during homeroom until Friday.  Tickets are $3.00 for the entire week or $1.00 per day.  If you don’t, you will be going to study hall with Mrs. Hassan.  Buy now and support your favorite Star Wars Senior!! 

Any Senior girl that has participated in an sport this year and is interested in the Ellen McKee Scholarship Award please stop by and fill out an application with Miss Day. Deadline to apply for this award is Friday May 6th.

To All high school boys, the boys locker room door leading to the outside will be closed at all times. You will have to use another entrance to get into the school. Again this door will remain closed during the day and after school. Anyone seen opening the door or leaving it open will be disciplined.

Dodge Ball Tournament Sign up for Relay for Life is located in Mr. Latta’s room.  The tournament will take place on May 6th and each team must consist of 10 total players, 4 of which must be female.  The cost of the tournament is $10, payable to Mr. Latta at the time of registration.

A Delicious Way to Support the Sophomore Class
The Sophomore  Class will be selling Bakery Fresh Donuts to the JH & HS on Fridays before school for $1.00 and juice/milk for $.50 a glass from 7:30-7:45. Plan to stop in the old guidance room across from the High School Office for a great selection! Get their early for the best choices – First come first served. Once they are gone they are gone! Only 3 Fridays left!!!


There will be no jh track practice tonight Friday April 29th.

There will be a short informational meeting for any 7th grader interested in going out for jh football next year. The meeting will take place May 9th in the cafeteria during your lunch.
